I wish we knew.No-one could know for certain.We can only guess. I am not a religious person,but religion is a man made thing to keep the masses in order.Think of all those who have died since the world began-must run into a few thousand trillions? Or more.Heaven must be a crowded place,but Heaven and hell are just man made things. I don't want to be cremated.How cool it must be to be laid in a grave 1,000 years into the future. As a family history researcher I often go to grave-yards. The old churches in a lovely village are the nicest.When I see those going back into the 16th century set near a road I can't help thinking how much the deceased has "seen" they have seen the change from horses to spaceships.
Each person has a character,so perhaps we have a spirit as well?. Some people claim to have seen supernatural things (things that happen that can't be explained by natural things) I personally have never seen anything my self,despite once living in an old cottage for a couple of years.
