How are Jewish and Christian societies different?

Jewish societies are more concerned with the here-and-now, while Christian societies put a lot of focus on the afterlife.  Since Jews do not accept the idea of an afterlife of rewards and judgement, they try to make life better for themselves and others since this is all there is.  Christians try to make life better for themselves and others because they will be judged for their actions in an afterlife.

Hello, Cal!

I may not spend as much time on this platform, since I still plan to go down with the Ask ship. lol

But I thought I would poke around, a bit, and see.

I am glad to see that bear, of yours!

Teddy Roosevelt would approve. :)

You are the first one I have communicated with, on Blurtit.
Peculiar feeling.

Take care, CT, right now, I think our old lifeboat is going down like the Titanic. lol

Come on, Dash. While Ask is furnishing no lifeboats, Blurtit is here like a whole fleet of RMS Carpathias. There's plenty of room. I hope you stick around.

Thanks, Cal, that is very kind of you to say!

I....may do some nosing around, for a while.

Even if Ask had not closed, I was facing the prospect of more limited time allowances, in the future.

But I am enjoying myself, on Blurtit, so far, and I am encouraged when I run into my Ask acquaintances.
