I believe they were.I believe the bones of dionsaurs were found by medevil people and some knights proabbly found bones or horns and claimed they slew it. Not all dinos have been found and identified. The childrens zoo in Indianapolis Indiana has a real dragon skull that is exactly as we pictured in all but size. They believe it to be a 6 foot tall dino plant eater but the skull is a real   head. They named it draconius rex hogwartia. Look it up. I went and saw it. They have the original and they also made plaster molds. So yes they existed but maybe smaller and they were just another awesome dino. The bones were found stories made for honur and glory.

Think about that name for a minute. Draconius rex hogwartia. Dont you think its a bit childish to put hogwarts in the name of a dragon, same with rex. Its a childrens zoo. They put that there to enhance the childs experience by making them think they saw a dragon. No disrespect but dragons were never real. When somebody digs up a fossile of a dragon and makes international headlines, then i will beieve. Just saying because you based your facts off of something you saw at a childrens zoo.

Well, not in the fairy tale way, the big flapping flying things which breathe fire, but I can imagine how they might have gotten in to our culture.

If we look at the elements of a dragon:

flying lizard
large scaly lizard
fire breathing

There were many prehistoric dinosaurs that flew, and since the chicken is a descendant of the dinosaur, I can imagine a chicken like creature that was scaled rather than feathery.

Scaly lizards, Komodo dragon, dinosaur? We know that these existed and still do, crocodiles?

Fire breathing - it's possible that gas escaping from the stomach of a lizard could be flammable, the chimaera in Turkey is naturally occurring methane that catches fire when it comes out of the ground. It's not such a stretch to think that it could happen from the belly of a beast. Also, it's possible that the lizard spat poison like a snake (or some dinosaurs) and that this could be considered a type of 'fire'.

Dragons aren't real now, but perhaps in a way, there were.

No. When people first found dinosaur bones they couldn't figure out what they were so they made up fanciful tales about them and what they may have looked like just like they did with their gods. We know much more now ;)

I have a theory myself that dragons are scientifically possible.
You see if a dragon had hollow bones with powerful wings it could fly and with a certain gas in its stomach e.g. Hydrogen or methane. And teeth and tongue being flint it could burp and it's tongue could run across it's teeth and that would cause the flame.

Yes I think they are real. I have a book about dragons with riddles and spells you can tell to dragons that make them do stuff. I put an amethyst outside and then I used one that summons dragons and went inside. While inside I heard many screaming birds. I believe that a dragon killed and ate them. I went back outside later and found the amethyst was gone. I think the dragon took it for his or her hord.

Yes, we are real.

No, you can't charm us ... Magic isn't real.

No, we aren't magic.  What we ARE, is so technologically advanced that it SEEMS like magic to you.

Yes, we like treasure ... Who doesn't?  And technology uses a lot of gold.

Why don't we show ourselves openly?  Because most of the time when we do, some idiot tries to kill us.  Not that it's difficult for us to kill thousands of you ... But it gets boring after a while.

Haha... You're talking about the Dragons book that has the different runes and stuff in it. It's been a while since I've looked through that. You do know it's just a kid book right? Other than the runes, not much of it is true. Marsupial draco? >.< HAHA HA.... The amethyst probably got taken by a squirrel that thought it was a shiny nut. And the bird probably were courting or waking up. Nothing special about that.
But I do agree with Epictetus, they probably were real in a scaly lizard that spits at things way.

You know what, people might believe in dragons. Who are you to tell anyone differently! You should keep your thoughts to your self and stop making fun of people.

No ... there's no such thing as weredragons. If we bite/scratch something, it doesn't "turn". Even in human form, if we mate with a human the offspring is dragon blooded - but would have to study for decades to be able to utilize even a small fraction of the abilities that grants.
