Can You Become A Vampire If You Drink Your Own Blood?

If there where vampires how would we know how they are. It would be kind of cool if  you were a vampire because you chould live forever.

I was also wondering this today. I watch The Vampire Diaries and in order to become a vampire you must drink vampire blood, die and then complete the transition by drinking human blood. I was wondering if you saved your own human blood, drank vampire blood, killed yourself and then drank your own human blood, could that turn you into a vampire? Is that what you were wondering and if not can anyone answer this question too?

Vampires drink blood for energy. There are no pure vampires left in this day and age. The ritual to become a vampire, involves being drank from (no drained) and then fed vampire blood. This also leads to and needs the exchanging of many energies. Sometimes the vampire performing the ritual isn't strong enough or cannot separate the races within him/her, therefore the person in question receives no change in race. For a vampire to drink his/her own blood would be counter productive seeing as they would only be receiving the same energy they already have.
