Why would God not give us conclusive proof he exists?

Well really the proof that God exists is all around us, in fact we are proof of that in itself.  First look at the earth, the way it operates and how it's make up is.  We can see how the seasons change and the earth rotates, even though this is something that we learn in science, we have had that information long before scientist ever said these things and it can be found in God's word the Bible. I'm sure you remember learning in school about how man thought that at one time the world was flat, well the Bible has always told us otherwise, at Isaiah 40:22 in part it says, "There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth..." Then later in years mankind came to an understanding that the earth was round like a sphere or circle.  Even the make up of our human bodies is evidence that we have to have some creator.  Our bodies are made in a way that no man would ever be able to copy.  Each of us have a special code that identifies us which is our DNA code, and it has just been recent years that mankind has been able to identify us with our DNA.  Yet the Bible tells us about God and how He knows every hair on our heads.  So these are just a few reasons we can see that we have a Creator that made all these things that we see around us.

I get what you're saying, but for me the biggest hurdle to faith has always been that the proof found in the Bible just doesn't add up...

For instance, we are presented with the idea that the creation of the Earth coincided with the creation of mankind, right?

And yet if you look at the historical evidence for life on Earth, there are clearly HUGE parts of our planet's history that don't even get a casual mention in any religious texts.

For example, the dinosaurs roamed the Earth for 180 million years! The earliest humans are thought to have appeared only 200,000 years ago...

Don't you think an all powerful creator of all life would mention the fact that we've only been around for a tiny fraction of this planet's existence, and before that - he was experimenting with the idea of populating the planet with giant lizards?

I had for years struggled with belief of dinosaurs, much as the same as you, with them as big as being said, how they would not be mentioned in the Bible. But my faith in God is much higher than man's is so I began to look at the facts according to the Bible. Do I now believe that dinosaurs ever existed, yes I do, do I believe that existed in the way that they have been glorified, no I don't and for this reason. When God was creating, He was creating everything to be perfect. Yet the information that we are given about dinosaurs were that many of them were vicious animals who either killed one another off or just disappeared. But the Bible says that sin did not exist until Adam sinned, so all living things were in harmony with one another until then, so for me the thought of dinosaurs being meat eaters before man just does not seem in harmony of Bible teaching.

Thanks for sharing your opinion.

It's an interesting point, and one that's always stuck in my mind. I still feel there's too much time unaccounted for, and too much of a coincidence that the only animals, atmospheric/geological conditions etc mentioned in any religion, are ones that existed at the time these religious texts are meant to have originated.

But I try and keep an open mind on the whole thing, and I'd honestly like to understand a lot more about the history of both religion and science.

Personally, I'd be most comfortable seeing God as a "supreme programmer" who was able, by triggering one event like the big bang, to set in motion a series of foreseen consequences that would eventually result in the existence of mankind billions of years later. That's a creation story I would be able to comprehend!

If we really look at the account of creation we see things that  are quit different than what we may have been taught.
For instance the age of the earth. Many Christians have been told that the earth is only 6 or 7 thousand years old .They believe this because they think that's what the Bible says. Most Christians believe:
1. That creation took place only a few thousand years ago.
2. That all geologic strata were formed by the Biblical Deluge.
Lets look at the facts. Neither of these dogmas is really crucial to the central question of whether living things were created or not. They are merely doctrines held by the members of a few churches.
But does idea thet everything was created in 7,000 years harmonize with the Bible? Are the doctrines of recent creation and a diluvial origin of geologic strata found in God’s Word?
An informed Bible researcher would answer, No. While the Bible clearly states that the heavens and the earth and everything in them were created by God, it does not say when those things were created. Religious dogma says that the six creative days in Genesis were all encompassed in a period of 144 hours. This harks back to an erroneous fundamentalist teaching that is no longer tenable in the light of present knowledge. The Bible itself does not set any such time limit on the days of creation.
The first verse of Genesis simply says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” If we take this to mean the creation of the starry heavens, the galaxies, and the solar system of which the earth is a part, we are talking about events that preceded the first creative day.
The description of the earth’s condition in verse 2 also precedes the first day. Not until verses 3 to 5 do we enter upon the activity of the first day of creation.
So no matter how long the days might prove to be, verses 1 and 2 describe things already accomplished, and they fall outside any time frame encompassing the creative days. If geologists want to say that the earth is 4 billion years old, or astronomers want to make the universe 20 billion years old, the Bible student has no quarrel with them. The Bible simply does not indicate the time of those events.
The next point to note is that  the word “day” is used in many different senses in the Bible. It does not always mean a 24-hour period. Sometimes it means only the hours of sunlight, that is, 12, more or less. Sometimes it stands for a year. Sometimes it means the years during a certain generation. In several references a day is 1,000 years, and in some even longer. Take the expression "In my grandfather's day..." What day are we talking about? Not any specific day but the era in which my grandfather's lived. No doubt the days in Genesis chapter 1 were very much longer. But the Bible does not there say how long they were.
The time of creation is not the same as the fact of creation. The two should not have been confused.
With the basic point established that the Bible text does not conflict with scientific theories about the age of the universe, we may also leave open the question of the age and origin of geologic strata. The Bible says nothing at all about the formation of sedimentary layers, whether at the time of the Flood or earlier. All the voluminous writings of creationists on this subject, which under critical examination, we can see they have been motivated by the desire to reconcile the existence of the geologic column and its fossils, dinosaurs and all, with their claim for a 6- to 10-thousand-year age of the earth. If this claim is invalid, all the rest of the argument is beside the point.
There is quite a wealth of scientific evidence for creation. The weight of such evidence has moved many leading scientists of the 20th century to speak publicly of creation and a Creator. Among these have been William T. Kelvin, Dmitri Mendeleev, Robert A. Millikan, Arthur H. Compton, Paul Dirac, George Gamov, Warren Weaver and Wernher von Braun, to name some. So when we are told that all "right thinking people" i.e. Scientist do not believe in creation it simply is not true.
Also to be remembered, the Genesis account was not written to show the “how” of creation. Rather, it covers major events in a progressive way, describing what things were formed, the order in which they were formed and the time interval, or “day,” in which each first appeared. Evolutionists only have an unproved theory that is riddled with so many unanswered questions.
I hope I have not strayed to far from the question, if I have I apologize. I merely wanted to show that the Bible and science are not really at odds.

He is a spirit and He already has giving us proof that He exists. I mean who else made us ? How could anyone make us ? We never would of been here if He didn't want us to be. Also this beautiful earth He made. The flowers , and the trees that isn't man made its God made along with people.

To this day with so much of atheistic "noise" around there was not a single conclusive proof that God does not exists.

Make no mistake, Darrin's evolution is a form of religion.

To look for ANY TRUE information about God in this world one must only seek that information only from among God's Chosen People - the nation of Israel (aka jews). And NOT from some secular, reform, jewish-missionary, christian or muslim sources but only from the nation of Israel that give most of their time to learning about God and his laws from Torah (aka bible) and Talmud IN ORIGINAL LANGUAGE - HEBREW.
