Libra is a small pale constellation of stars found in the Southern Hemisphere, lying between Virgo and Scorpius.

The symbol of this constellation (which lies west of the Scorpius' claws), is a sign of a woman holding a balance scale. No wonder - as, in Latin, Libra means "scales." The woman is sometimes referred to as Astraea, the Roman goddess of justice.

Libras possess a variety of positive attributes:

• Libras are natural diplomats, and this is their most defining and important characteristic. They are born negotiators, which makes them ideal for long-term relationships.
• This star sign is also known for its romantic flair. They are natural charmers who can talk the talk, but when it comes to love-making they can't walk the walk.
• They're easy-going and sociable creatures, who don't take themselves or life too seriously. They are very relaxed, which makes them popular individuals.
• Libras are peace-loving and low-maintenance fellows, which is why they make very good companions.

On the other hand, Libras also have some undesirable traits:

• Their strong diplomatic skills causes them to be very indecisive - something which more determined signs find extremely frustrating.
• They are easily-influenced creatures who can be gullible at times. Again, this is a trait which some other signs may take advantage of.
• Libras are notorious flirts! This has the potential to get them into deep trouble with their partner - but, unfortunately, Libras can't seem to help themselves!
