Andrew Peters brother both were looking for the Messiah. Andrew said we have found Him! And brought Peter to Jesus. Jesus beheld Peter and said thou art simon son of Jona, thou shall be called Cephas( meaning little stone or rock)Jesus could juge a man at first look! He knew Peter to be strong in soul , hard and unyielding in purpose, even tho Peter denied Jesus three times later He became a great and strong witness for Christ!Christ Himself was the Main Rock and He made that claim when speaking of Himself In Mat.16:14-18 He asks Peter who do you say that Iam?and On Himself(Jesus) the Rock the Church is built on!
