In Matthew it says Simon from Cyrene helped Jesus carry the cross. It also refers to this person in Mark and Luke.(Matthew 27:32, Mark 15:21, Luke 23:26)
Matthew 27:32 As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross.
Luke 23:26 As they led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus.
Jesus, weak as he was, managed to carry the crossbeam as far as the city gates. There, as they were "going out" of the city, the soldiers forced Simon to assume the load. He came from Cyrene, an old Greek settlement on the coast of North Africa.
Jesus was required, like others condemned to crucifixion, to carry the cross-bar. A large number of people followed him, including women who mourned and wailed for him. The wood was heavy, and Jesus was weakened by the maltreatment. The soldiers could press civilians such as Simon into service.

He carried it himself.
Jesus was not crucified, he was stoned to death by his own people
No one, because the Christ of the Bible was stoned to death. The crucifixion/resurrection story was made up by the Gospel writers some 30-60 years later, when all first-hand witnesses were safely dead.
Hopefully nobody I like to think he suffered for his crimes. He was a common criminal and an outlaw who misled people through trickery.
