Don’t panic! This is a really scary dream to have, I know, but it doesn’t mean your dog is going to die. It just means that you love him, and you don’t want anything bad to happen to him.

A lot of our dreams are just manifestations of our subconscious, so it’s quite normal for our hopes and fears – usually fears, as they’re stronger – to float into our heads when we’re asleep. They’re not premonitions, though, however real they might seem.

I remember the first time I dreamed that my pony Dougal had died. I woke up and cried, because it seemed like it had really happened! I read up about death dreams online and checked my dream book, and everything I read said not to worry.

I had that dream over two years ago, and he’s still okay, so it didn’t mean anything.

Every now and then I still have dreams of my pony running away or dying, but it’s just because I love him, and not because it’s actually going to happen. You just have to chill out and stop worrying – that will only make the dreams worse.

Another thing - don't watch Marley and Me if you're prone to having sad dreams about your dog!

It means it is a vision. Spend as much time as possible with him.

It does not mean anything to me because your dog has not died in any of my dreams, so the dog is still alive...the best to you.
