We are commanded to praise and worship Him b/c..well.. He is God for one. "He is who he is", as he told Moses and his people. We worship Him for without Him, we are nothing. You can lie to yourself and say I've done all on my own, but by grace established thru the blood shed by Christ you have been given chance after chance to get it right. We dont just live on our own, but are allowed to live b/c of God's sovereignty. He is the one who shapes the course of destiny and time, allowing our trials and tribulations to come so that we are "tested thru the fire of purification", or made strong thru our troubles. We learn to depend on Jehovah as He shows us our weakness everytime we slip up and no matter how many times He will allow it til we get it right, meanwhile if we are obedient to His Word we are praising His Holy Name and w/o any hindrance He will manifest His raw power in our shortcomings and situations. Trust me, He is real as you and me. The folks who dont know Him or hear Him are the ones who dont take time to do so, are rebellious, or simply too busy or doubtful. So He "allows" them to stay that way. Read Romans, it will tell you.
