The firm belief in something for which there is no proof and sometimes despite proof of the contrary.
For those who do not believe... No explanation is satisfactory.
For those who do believe...no explanation is necessary.
This is the basis of faith. It is a belief in something that we can not see, feel, taste or touch....but we know it is there.

Faith is to believe and to have trust.
Faith is letting love work in you, faith is believing and knowing you are able, faith is action inside your soul, bottom line...faith is the drive of your passion to live another day to always have faith in you and all that is around you, faith is knowing, understanding, not questioning, faith would have to be an action to do!
Faith means 'BELIEVING' and 'OBEYING' because you will be judged by your works.
ANYONE can LIE and say they believe but there lack of works for God will reveal who they really are.
Start your FAITH by obeying Jesus Christ in Luke 14:26, 27 & 33 without allowing ANY RELIGION to twist God's inspired words OUT OF CONTEXT to mislead you into HELL. (Acts 7:47-48 & 17:24)
Luke 6:20 ''Blessed are the poor, their's is the kingdom of God.

Faith is when you feel stronlgy about the presence of a force that will make things work for you. It is the feeling that you are not alone. Faith keeps your religion alive and helps you stay motivated. It makes you a believer in destiny but, at the same time, it doesn't take you away from striving.
Faith is believing without needing proof. Faith is the evidence of things hoped for
the substance of things not seen
the substance of things not seen
The word “faith” is translated from the Greek pi′stis, primarily conveying the thought of confidence, trust, firm persuasion. The Greek word may also be understood to mean “faithfulness” or “fidelity.”
The Scriptures tell us: “Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.”
Faith is the basis for hope and the evidence for conviction concerning unseen realities.
True faith is a readiness to believe something without sound evidence or just because a person wants it to be so. Genuine faith requires basic or fundamental knowledge, acquaintance with evidence, as well as heartfelt appreciation of what that evidence indicates.although it is impossible to have real faith without accurate knowledge, the Bible says that it is “with the heart” that one exercises faith....I hope this answers your question...ambliny

I'm with artguy - faith is belief without proof, and sometimes belief *despite* proof.
Faith means a strong belief on any thing, according to religion it means a belief on super power
To sumerize it means:
.To beleive
. To trust and be confident and sure about something or someone

This is a hard question to answer, but I believe it has to do with seeing. And sometimes we have to use more than our eyes.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Heb. 11:1).
Faith in God is not taking a blind step into an unknown darkness; it is taking a safe step into a well-lit room. In other words, faith is not a blind leap into the dark; it is a sure and confident leap into the arms of God... The safest place to be.
Faith is a present and continuing reality, not simply a virtue sometimes practiced in antiquity. It is a living thing, a way of life. There are realities for which we have no material evidence, though they are not the less real for that. Faith enables us to know that they exist and, while we have no certainty apart from faith, faith does give us genuine certainty. Faith is the basis, the substructure of all that the Christian life means, all that the Christian hopes for.
Faith is also communicated by words such as "believe," "fear," "hope," "love," and "trust." Faith is seen in the examples of the servants of God who committed their lives to him in unwavering trust and obedience.

To believe in the unseen.
Just because you can't see it or hear it doesnt mean it isn't there. Having faith means that you believe its there. Like God, can't see him but having faith lets you know he is real.
Blindly believing, without any attempt at rational or logical thinking. Acceptance of supernatural fairy tales because a "holy" book tells you they are true.
