One would assume that this particular action of "Disrespecting" a religion is common place amongst all races and not just India.
To some, religion is a private thing. So, if it is kept to yourself perhaps those whom seem to disrespect it don't even know they are doing it. Perhaps those that are "Disrespecting" said religion are doing so in support of their own personal religious bias.
Finally, "Disrespecting" has a different meaning based on your personal connection to the degree that some might consider actions not FOR their religion to be AGAINST their religion and therefore it is labeled "heresy" or "blasphemy" as it pertains to their belief system.
We all of personal perspectives that may align or be different from each other . . . Accept this and your life might be easier and more stress free.
