It's both. Some people believe that Jashin is a made up religion from Naruto. Jashin's symbol is a upside down (or right side up) Triangle in a circle. Any thing that is not utter chaos or death is considered a sin. The Naruto character Hidan uses this religion to unsure he gets a good kill in battle.
