I think of God as my spiritual father, the creator of heaven and earth. I don't understand everything about God, and I believe that's what makes him God. I believe he's the beginning and the end, the first and the last of everything. I think his word is true, and I am seeing his word come to past right before my eyes. He's like a father to me. He blesses me and rewards me when I'm good and punish me when I'm bad.
God is my salvation from evil and creation of great , I think GOD is everlasting compassion and forgiveness...... GOD IS THE THE JUDGE OF EVIL AND GOOD. GOD IS THE ALMIGHTY. GOD IS THE FORGIVER . THE REDEMER OVER JUSTICE. THE FORSAKENER OF THE SINS. THE SAVOUR OVER PASSION.
Me personally. God to me is simply my Creator and Salvation, both actually through Jesus Christ. In Genesis God said "Let US make man in OUR image". I love that one!! There are so many Scriptures proving outright the Trinity! If I choose to read other books about God - systematic theology, attributes and characteristics of God, etc., I always try to do so objectively. Most of the time I just want to keep it simple. There's just so much 'information' out there. One day He will reveal all. But for now, I'm quite happy not knowing all there is to know about God. What I do know is going to save me from eternal separation from Him. Let the Biblical scholars and theologians have at it. The basics are sufficient for me! Why are there so many denominations? I believe, among other reasons, that some believers take their viewpoints, separate from the herd, and start their own 'church'. Division among Christians, as well as the other monotheistic beliefs - Judaism and Islam, simply reinforces the rodney king question "why can't we all just get along?" whatever our excuse may be, when we all stand before our Creator - and we will - the ultimate question will be "what have you done for my Son?" if God is real and Truth and I follow Him then I gain everything. If God is not real and Truth then I suppose I lose nothing. Am I willing to take that chance? NO!
I think god is everywhere and caring. Some people might say that why didn't he save my loved ones when they were dying but he is trying to say that death is part of our life and no-one can stop it, even himself.
