Read the history of the Bible and who actually wrote it and your tune may change...you believe a fairy tale. The bible is not proof of God..it's a story..no better then Jrr Tolkien or Harry Potter. The technology and superstitions of the age made the bible what it is today and some of you people still fall for it. It makes me giggle. What is the bible except what people want to hear? What people want to fear? I grew up Christian, even kinda believed in the word of god. It only took one World Mythology class in college to see that the bible is a hand-me-down of mythologies from thousands of years before the word "God" ever existed. If your not willing to study the history of religion then you only get half the picture. Personally? I don't need a god to save my soul..I am moral...I follow the 10 commandments because they are human morality..not cuz God put the fear of hell in me...and I sleep at night peacefully knowing when I die, I sleep in everlasting blackness with no pain, no fear, no knowledge, and no guilt.
Education is obviously not a requirement. The bible was written by men who were inspired(Hallucinating is my theory, as all humans are known to do) by the christian god. Those who are part of a religious faith need not knowledge whatsoever to believe what they believe. That is why it's called faith.
Very often we humans see things that are not there and believe extraordinary claims without any evidence. It's our job to try our best to cope with such things, learn from our mistakes and correct them to the best of our ability. One of the many things correct in the bible, no man is perfect.
It is not my intention to offend anyone. However if you do love your gods and saints so much, I would encourage you to study them more so that you can have something better to back up your arguments. The common "Just because." defense just makes you look undereducated and ignorant of pretty much anything that you value. If you are willing to defend something grand like religious faith without any reason(not necessarily proof just your reason for believing). You may want to come up with something. Logically you would have come to such a conclusion prior to choosing a religion.

God is real the 10 commandments is what he gave to his people in the old testament. Check out creation it did not happen as like they say a big bang things would crazy out of place.But the chose each place for everything he created.look at creation closely like the birds,the cats even look at your self you were created in the very image of God.believe what i tell you.Do you think it rain just rain at a certain time? No it doesn't God does it. And the word of God is his spoken word meaning it is a live.Look a the new testament in red that is Jesus his son talking that died and gave his life for you and the whole world.Read John 3:16.So the word of God is more real then anything.people that don't understand the Bible will say it's not real or that God did not write it.But don't just sell out on what you hear from all these other people but look at for yourself.Even a lot of the lands like Jerusalm it's in the Bible everything that you read in the Bible is in this world.I hope you take a closer look and search the scriptures you will find out that God is real.japeace

I think people believe it because somebody followed jesus around and wrote all of this down and past it down from generation to generation getting more information throughout the years will jesus was alive and dead.

I've read Genesis, and honestly, it's no more believable than the lore behind World of Warcraft. Maybe there was a ton of detail left out, or maybe whoever was writing it just didn't include logic in his story, but either way you cannot just poof things into existence. Look at the birds, fish, cows, even humans. We all evolved to match our environments and surroundings, so we could SURVIVE. Not because some "god" said so. Even if there was a being that we would call God, he has the entirety of the universe to look after. Not just the Earth. Can you blind worshipers honestly deny the existence of outer space? If you actually read about the Big Bang theory, it makes the most sense. More sense than a magical bearded man snapping his fingers and creating the world in only seven days. For all we know, God started the Big Bang, and sat back to watch how it would unfold. You have to be a complete dumb ass to really believe the stories in the Bible. OBVIOUSLY someone was high on something when it was written. Now of course, there are good things in it, like the commandments and the lessons of Jesus, but the majority of it is just an outdated explanation for how we were created, made to be read by uneducated masses of people. In this new age that we live in, the Bible is severely outdated, and anyone who truly wants to live logically cannot fully believe in the Church's version of "god".
I believe if you look hard enough you will find scripture from before the bible.. Comandments etc that go into detail about the angels and the lord .. It sounds like people who just dont believe even a little bit are the ignorant ones .. Im not a jehovahs witness i wont knock on your door i dont go to church but i still believe.
