We should believe in God. Because all the activities carrying out in universe are not by their own. There is someone who is controlling all these things. The creation of creatures is a proof of presence of God. Science proofs that all these things in this universe cannot take place without any supernatural force, and this supernatural force os the force of God. So we should believe in God.

Do you have any proof whatsoever of this? Things can exist on there own, and just because you think otherwise does not make it "proof".

Hey Greentree! Howz it goin?! Well, any believer can give you a gazillion reasons to believe in God, right? So, let me ask you this - why not believe in God? What possible gain or benefit, personal and social, can one acquire by not believing in the supreme, eternal Creator? If you think about it for a second, it's a win/lose situation!

There is no "gain" or "benefit" from being an atheist.
It's basically like, i'm a stronger person for it. I don't need false hope of an eternal savior, that i KNOW doesn't exist. I'm happy living on my own, i don't need someone else to "guide me", and "hold my hand". Probably every Atheist has this problem when the first come to see the truth. They have to accept that once they die, it's all over. I've come to this sad realisation about death, but i don't need to feel sad. Life still goes on

Great comments, my friend. As to the first part of your first comment, it sounds as though you are familiar with Pasqal's Wager. Now, i know that you think logically and rationally so i appeal to them both and ask you to consider the validity and value of his stance. Logically, rationally, and common-sense-ically, would you think it important enough to wonder about the cost/benefit of the "possibility" of eternal reward, i.e. Presence with God, and the "possibility" of eternal punishment (cont)-

(cont)...i.e. Separation from God. I understand that most, if not all, atheists believe that annihilation, total cessation of existence, follows physical death. Is this not simply an indifferent (and quite unsafe!) avenue of escape from accountability?

Because he is the ultimate, Better yet, Wouldn't it be better to believe there is a God and find out there wasn't...than not to believe and find out he was real? God the Father the Son the Holy Ghost is real,
God my father does exists. Someday we will all stand before him. Yes my friend God is real. Christ his Only son died for us on the cross and shed his blood for our sins, WOW isn't that something that a King loves us so much he died for us? And Then arose and lives today? That is just awesome. I would be dead today had Christ not been there for me. Oh yes, God is real. I hope you find him in your heart.
What a kingdom awaits us if we believe, trust and have faith and ask him to forgive us for our sins each day. "Oh what a day that will be when my Jesus comes for me, no more tears to dim the eyes, no sickness, no pain, no heartaches, no burdens...Yes what a day that will be."

Are you just blindly beleving in god, or do you have some sort of proof that i am not aware of?

Believers cannot prove that God exists, nor can non-believers prove that God does not exist, so the question about providing proof of God is moot.

There is no proof for or against the existence of God. Arguably, the bible is used as proof, and there may be some merit to that, as the stories, parables, and blueprint for living peacefully exists in the New Testament. The Old Testament sets forth 10 commandments which are good rules to live by regardless of ones belief system.

It is more a matter of choosing to believe or not believe that God exists.

Atheists, who practice the religion of not believing in religion, often study religious material for years to think of arguments of why they don't believe in God in order to convince believers. This is an attempt by atheists to convert people of faith to the atheistic religion.

If believing in God makes you feel better then there is nothing wrong with believing.

If believing there is no God makes you a happy person there is nothing wrong with not believing.

I have never met an atheist who happy with himself. Therefore, I believe that most atheists have a flawed personality, and will never understand what it feels like to be "whole".

Wow. Utter ignorance. The bible is not proof of anything, other than that ignorance can be instilled by bronze age beliefs. The New Testament is entirely rampant with violence and intolerance, nothing "peaceful" about it. Atheism is not a religion, nor are there any attempts to "convert" to an atheistic "religion". Promotion of rational and logical thinking is the ultimate goal of atheists.
"I have never met an atheist who happy with himself."- what disgusting arrogance.

Pathetic.

I agree with "freethink".

"I have never met an atheist who happy with himself."

you can't possibly speak for all atheists, and i have troubl eunderstanding why they wouldn't feel "whole".

If religious people somehow feel "whole" , then its only because of false hope in fictitious characters with magical powers.

You have both proven my point. You have resorted to name calling in the name of atheism. This type of name calling does not come from a happy mind.

Why not? If you believe that you will get paid Friday, then why not believe in Him? I ask b/c the bible tells us that NO MAN IS PROMISED ANYTHING accept a few things: God is eternal, his mercy is forever, His Word never faults, He will never forsake the righteous, life everlasting THROUGH A RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ, and death. If you accept Jesus then you crucify your carnal desires and ways, through the mind, and become a heavenly elite. You die daily with Christ and focus on life after death, which is the only life. It is SO guaranateed so don't let the spirit of doubt and unbelief keep yopu away fro the Glory of God. His ways are eternal and just because the whole world doesn't believe God exists, doesn't mean He will change His mind or not follow through with waht He says. Listen carefully: When you give someone your word, your honor it with your lips and with your heart, that is if you not a liar, right? Same here. This is His Holy Word, which He Himself magnifies above all things and if one letter of this Book, which he inspired man to write, was ever wrong, believe me, this universe would LITERALLY self destruct b/c it is held up by His Word. READ your BIBLE!!

The world would still exist without god. I can still exist without god. My father and mother created me, not him. I have no use for jesus christ or god.

FAITH! Heb 11:1-6 It is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen, through faith we understand that the worlds were fraimed by the Word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Without faith it is impossible to please God, jesus said when i come will I find faith in the earth? 2Cor.4:18. I really like KHAWAYASIMS answere, please read 1Cor.15:39-44.. It is awsome and too wonderful for words. Everything that God made even down to the smallist molecule Has its own unique individual government that God Himself created for all things in Heaven, on the earth and under the earth to operate perfectally! He;s a great God! If you believe in who He is you've gained everything and lost nothing! If You dont and find out that Is Is then you've lost everything! Its every mans choice but He makes it very clear that He exists and who He is...Genaveve

Well, i tend to not beleive in things i havn't seen, or heard, or felt. Although, god could still exist without him ever actually being in the same room. But he's also never been photographed, video taped, recorded, and theres no proof of his existence. I'm fairly confident there is no god, so that's why i dont beleive.

All I will say to you is if God did not create you, then tell Him he didnt. And by the way, if you are living in sin anyway, which is if you deny God as well, you are a child Satan, which is in 1 John 3 read up dont just say you dont believe so you can justify your doubt and your meager life. You can try God, or you can TRY GOD. Its up to you.

Every religion has its reason for us to believe, and it teaches us the right things and good things, it depends on us, if we need to believe or not, but being a believer is better than non.

Lets wait a couple seconds.

Nope, i wasn't smitted by his lordships evil-ness.
And now you'll probably justify that by saying god wants me to live and wants me to love yada yada yada.... But the truth is god doesn't exist, and he can not send me to "hell" , he can not answer prayers either
