It is a record of God's activities in our world.  It helps us to understand more about Him, and though it could never tell us even a substantial amount about Him - It points us in His direction very well.  Reading it, opens a relationship door that we can walk through if we wish.  Then it defines some of God's details that are otherwise hard to comprehend.   It has been used by some well meaning "christians" to nearly replace GOD>>> But it's original intention was to give us encouraging information - so we could have some background to work from in this relationship WITH GOD!

It is so important to us because we believe thats how we should live our lives. If we don't obey God and ask into our hearts (soul) then we are not Christians. If we are Christians then we should read the bible every day. It is brilliant the Bible. Its okay to miss a day. Even Ministers do that. If you are thinking of becoming a Christain talk to somone you know whos a christain and talk. You will then find that there is not much for Christians to go to so check out this site. The day you become a Christian and you will be happy. nowachristian.org Hope this helps!

The English word Bible comes from the Greek word biblia, meaning books. So it is a library, a collection of sacred books. The Bible is the best preserved book and the best selling book of the world. It was written during the period 1100 B.C. To 100 A.D. The Bible was originally written in three languages, Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. The writers includes kings, prophets, priests, soldiers, song writers, judges and even a tax collector, a shepherd, a prime minister and a doctor. God uses the writers as His mouthpiece. The Bible is the word of God. It is a communication in which God makes himself known to humanity. It is divided into the Old Testament and the New Testament. The writers of the Old Testament received the Word of God and communicated it to the world. The writers of the New Testament wrote about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. The main message or theme of the Bible is salvation. As a result of sin, death came into the world. But God loves us so much that He sent His son Jesus Christ to die and pay the penalty of our sins. And whosoever believed in Jesus Christ shall have eternal life. The Bible is much more than a guide book; it is a love letter from a personal God to each one of us. The Bible is the most argued, the most hated, the most debated, the most scorned and also considered the most controversial book of the world. But it is what it really is… The Word of God.

Bible is so very important to Christians because it is the book that they believe had laid down it's foundations, the commandments they need to observe to spend a pious life and is accepted as the word of God. Most prevalent religions in the world today do have faith in some book or commandment that had been revealed by God to his favored men. Bible is a collection of the Old testaments, which had been laid down on other nations like the people of Israel and on the Prophet David and the word of Jesus Christ, whom they believe is the incarnation of God on Earth and forms a part of the holy trinity.

Because without it, we would have nothing to base our faith on.  Apart from God's CREATION of course!  :o)

It is the Word of God.  It is part of the "Armour" of a soldier of Christ.  It is our "road map" or light for our direction.
