I think that depends on what sort of dream it was. If you dream of something specific that comes true, something that you could never have predicted, then maybe you have psychic powers!
Premonition or Coincidence?
It’s rare, but not unheard of, for people to have premonitions – for example, before the 2001 attacks on the Twin Towers, several people had such bad dreams that they felt it necessary to cancel their flights that day.
Unfortunately, there’s no way of proving that this was anything more than a coincidence, as very little has actually been found out about what goes on when we dream.
Sometimes, when we know that something might happen – even if we haven’t considered it consciously – that thing will then happen in our dream. For example, if you have an upcoming math test at school that you don’t think you’ll pass, it’s totally normal to dream about failing. If you then fail in real life, this doesn’t make your dream a premonition – it just means that you dreamed of a likely outcome, and then it happened.
In some cases, the things we dream are totally random. Your dream might be a total coincidence rather than a premonition!
Most people who think that they’ve seen the future in their dreams are one hundred per cent certain that their dream was a premonition and not a nightmare. If you get this feeling, maybe you should follow it, but if your dream just feels like a dream, then maybe that’s all it is!
